My best friend, who weighs over fifty pounds, has developed severe arthritis in his lower back and hips. While he still seems to enjoy life, he has a lot of trouble getting around, especially during the winter. He often collapses while we are walking around the yard, and sometimes gets discouraged and doesn't even try to get up.
When this happened earlier this evening, I couldn't help but remember my sweet Mavourneen, and when I had to towel-walk her. I thought about trying that with Neo, but... hmmm... not to be crude in a public forum, but how do you fold a towel under a male dog's lower belly and then expect him to do his business?
I finally thought of checking online for a product made with this foresight, and actually found that they are reasonably priced. I can't wait until it arrives - I think it will help give him more confidence and help him enjoy walking around the yard more. Yes, my baby is spoiled, but he is worth it.
